Redmain House dates from the 1690’s and is a traditional Cumbrian long house with attached stone barns from which the holiday cottages have been converted to a very high standard, whilst retaining many original features. The Hayloft is equipped with fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, colour TV, Freeview, DVD/CD player, radio, electric and heating included, linen, blankets, duvets, towels and power shower over the bath. Sleeps two people plus baby. Cottage is for Non-Smokers only. The Hayloft has its own private entrance door with stairway leading to a large open plan living room with kitchen on one side. There is a bedroom with a double bed and room for a cot, if required. A separate bathroom provides a bath with a power shower over and a toilet. French doors look out directly to the gardens. The Hayloft now has the benefit of a colour TV, Freeview, DVD/CD Player and Broadband 24/7 internet access cable (Cat 5 Network) for connection to your own computer equipment. Broadband is charged at an extra £15 per week or short break stay. All floors are polished pine with rugs and much of the original stone walls have been retained. The upstairs ceilings are lofted with exposed beams. The kitchens are fully equipped with microwave, refrigerator, electric cooker, hob and washer/dryer. There are colour televisions and radios provided in each lounge. All linen (but not facecloths), oil fired central heating and electricity are all included in the cost. There is also an iron and ironing board.
Pet Policy
Please note that we request dog owners to agree to the following booking conditions as we have had some problems with dog owners and we charge an extra £15 per dog per stay. 1. The dog is not allowed on any furniture, beds or in the bedrooms due to some of our clients having asthma. 2. The dog is not left on its own in the cottage and stays with the owner at all times. 3. The dog is not allowed to foul in the gardens and if it does you will "scoop the poop". 4. The dog must be on a lead at all times as there are two resident cats.
