Cheshire
The conventional image of the typical Cheshire landscape is of rich parklands, lazily meandering rivers, tree-fringed meres, attractive black-and-white villages with sandstone churches, and flat, lush pastures occupied by content-looking cattle. And indeed this is a largely accurate picture of much of the county making it great place to take pet friendly holidays.
Explore the western perimeters of the Peak District National Park, which unlike the above is for the more adventurous dog walking holiday enthusiasts. With its landscape of deep valleys, gritstone moors, isolated farms and stone hamlets.
Another side to Cheshire is its role as commuter-belt providing a peaceful homestead for workers traveling in Manchester and Liverpool, along with adjacent towns such as Stockport and Bury
